One with my hubby holding G's Quilt

My wonderful hubby held it up for me so I could snap a quick pic. Thanks Hubby! (Don't you see his feet? I thought that was too funny. He didn't. But they're there anyway.)

A picture of G's finished quilt

Here's a picture of G's finished quilt. It came together rather quickly. I just did a fast stitch in the ditch for the quilting. She said she wanted it to be fluffy.

Quilting G's quilt

I actually got around to quilting this quilt for my girl last Friday. Here's a picture of it on my domestic machine.

My New Bag

I saw a bag in one of the quilts and more magazines recently, and I thought to myself, I can just make me a bag. So, of course, I put my own spin on it, and here's what I came up with. I absolutely love it!!!

Fabric And Material Tutu

I had a bunch of scraps and tule lying around, so I thought I'd make a tutu. Going off of a picture, I threw this one together in under about an hour.
Oh and the beautiful girl is my G.

My Quilt

This is the fabric I'm planning to make into my quilt...a quilt for me...only for me... If I ever get time, that is. You quilters out there know what I'm talking about, right?

My Sewing/Crafting Corner

I'm trying to get ready to move. We are waiting to close on a house in a quaint town about 70 miles away. My husband has been working there for about 18 months. He stays there during the week and comes home on the weekends. We finally decided to make the move; I'm just waiting for my teaching contract to finish out this year.
Anyway, the cause for this post-I'm cleaning, reorganizing, packing my crafting/sewing stuff... Below is a picture of how it looks now. I know it is messy, but it always gets worse before it gets better, right?

The Pink Zebra Bow

bow
This is by far my favorite hair bow I've made yet. With animal zebra print being all the rage, I just knew my G would love it! It's her go to bow. She loves to wear it, and when anyone comments on it, she loves to say, "My mommy made it." Then I always follow up with, "Thanks."

Bibs from handkerchief and wash cloths

The bibs... Thank you Sew Like my Mom!!
Go visit see like my mom here.

The loot continued

Here is a pic of the three completed items.

Friend's baby loot

One of my dear friends had a baby a few months ago. As soon as we learned she was having a baby girl, I rushed to the fabric store and bought up some Winnie the Pooh fabric to make her a baby blanket. Unfortunately, due to the projects I was consumed with, the quilt was put off until a later date. Then, as fate would have it, my life adventure moved me away from my friends in that little northwest Arkansas community. I get to reconnect with her over spring break. Today, I dug into my box of future projects and gave life to that Winnie the Pooh fabric.

G's quilt

My current quilt project. This is for G. She's been needing a cover for her bed. I thought a one of a kind quilt would be just perfect. No headboard yet, but I have a design for one. I'm going to make a tuffed (don't know if that's the correct spelling/usage of the word) chocolate colored headboard soon. I'll post a pic when I am done.

Single Bows

I made a few bows for G to wear for general everyday use. She likes to switch bows, clothes, shoes... You name it, she'll dress up in it. These bows are rather large but cute all the same.

Blue to the Bone Bow

I made this hair bow for my daughter to wear with a cute outfit we bought at Justice in the mall. I think it turned out great.

Hair Bows

From time to time I like to make hair bows.  It's just one of my craft hobbies.  I have a few to show y'all here. I'm trying to learn how to post pictures from my phone to this blog.  It's proving to be more difficult than just pressing a few buttons.  I will update with a pic soon.
